Real Talk
So....this morning I woke up with a clicking sound...I realized that it was a man and his truck. He was trying to start his truck so he could go to work, but the car wasn't starting. When I was walking to my car, I see the man with a desperate and disappointed look on his face. Right then and there, I felt bad, but blessed at the same time. I felt bad because it made me realize the people who are out there who have struggles with every day things. The look on his face made me sad because I knew that all he was trying to do was start his truck so he could go to work. And with the economy nowadays, its hard to find a job. He was just trying to make money for his family. I felt blessed because the things that I am doing now is for my future. I feel blessed because I never had to go through anything like that. Every once in a while I would leave my lights on and my battery would run out, but I always had my dad there to give me a jump. The man was out there for about an hour. I just wished I could have done something. So, I was in a rush and I had to leave for work. Then, I get this text message from Ruben telling me that he gave the man a jump. It made me feel a whole lot better knowing that the man was able to get his truck started and go to work and make the money he needs for his family. And, it made me happy to have such a wonderful person like Ruben to do nice things for people he doesn't even know. The moral of the story is chivalry is not dead, its just hiding.
